Health and Safety
Lock Out/Tag Out – Review the latest government regulations concerning hazardous energy sources in and around manufacturing equipment. Hazardous energy sources may be electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic.
Ergonomics – Understand how the human and physical factors interface with the work environment to promote the well being of the individual while maintaining proper work standards.
CPR – Learn how to administer cardiopulmonary rescue techniques for infants, children and adults. Those who pass the test will earn CPR certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Safety and First Aid – This course is designed to teach current strategies relative to designated emergency situations per the National Safety Council or American Red Cross.
Airborne/Bloodborne Pathogens – This course explains the measures which must be implemented to protect employees from the hazards of occupational exposure to blood and other potentially infectious materials containing bloodborne pathogens, such as hepatitis B virus (HBV) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
Hazardous Materials – An introduction to proper handling and storage of hazardous materials, lockout and tagout procedures, and MSDS sheets.
EMT – Basic fundamentals for the emergency medical technician with emphasis on the proper care of emergency patients and their safe transport to a medical facility. Prepares the student to take the Kentucky certification examination as an Emergency Medical Technician as well as the National Registry Test for EMT’s.
