Determine Financial
Aid Eligibility
TO
BE ELIGIBLE, YOU MUST...
- Be an U.S.
citizen or eligible noncitizen,
- Be registered
with the Selective Service (if required),
- Be working
toward a degree, diploma or certificate,
- Be making
satisfactory academic progress (SAP),
- Not owe
a refund on a Federal grant or be in default on
a Federal educational loan, and
- Have financial
need (except for the KHEAA KEES scholarship)
In Addition:
- Less-than-half-time
students may be eligible for Federal Pell Grants
and some other Federal student aid programs.
- Students
who have received a bachelor’s degree are not eligible
for Federal Pell Grant or FSEOG but may be eligible
for loans
- Students
attending two colleges in the same enrollment period
must inform both Financial Aid Offices. Students
can not receive Pell Grants at both colleges.
- Conviction
of drug distribution or possession may make a student
ineligible for Federal student financial aid.
2007-2008
FEDERAL DEADLINES
You must complete your 2006 Federal Income Taxes
before attempting to fill out the 2007-2008 FAFSA.
The 2007-2008Free Application for Federal Student Financial Aid
is for the 2007-2008
Academic Year.
The 2007-2008 FAFSA must be received by the Central Processing
Center (CPS) before June 30, 2008. (See Note
Below)
NOTE:
A valid Student
Aid Report (SAR) or a valid Individual
Student Information Report (ISIR) and all
other Required Backup Documentation
must be on record with the college financial aid office
on or before the last date you attended an eligible
class or the last day of the semester (which ever occurs
first).
