KCTCS SCHOLARSHIPS FOR KENTUCKY RESIDENTSCommonwealth Scholarship provides funds for recent high school graduates using the following criteria: 1. Kentucky resident; and 2. Current year high school graduates in the top quartile of their high school graduating class; or 3. Prior year high school graduates in top quartile of their high school graduation class; and 4. Students must have unmet financial need demonstrated by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Kentucky resident student in the top quartile of their high school graduating class and enrolled in a KCTCS institution are eligible to apply for this nonrecurring scholarship award. The nonrecurring scholarship may be awarded to a Kentucky resident student enrolled for at least 6 credit hours and the scholarship award may be up to the amount of tuition for 12 credit hours for fall and spring terms.
Students awarded the Commonwealth Scholarship may receive a second year award provided they have successfully completed a least 24 credit hours at a KCTCS institution and maintained 3.0 grade point average or higher. Contact the college you will attend for specific details.
