"Focused Action on the Commonwealth’s Educational Transformation"

Education is the key to transforming Kentucky from its perennial position near the bottom among the 50 states on many economic, health, environmental, and quality of life measures. KCTCS is the key to transforming education across the Commonwealth. The 2009 New Horizons Conference focuses in on major facets of that transformation, including workforce competitiveness, virtual learning, transfer education, diversity, and technology.

The New Horizons annual conference offers a forum for KCTCS faculty, staff, and administrators to examine topics related to education and effectiveness in the KCTCS System. Display/ demonstration/roundtable sessions, presentations, workshops, peer group meetings, and other formats provide participants the opportunity to share innovative ideas, techniques and technologies; to engage with others across college, disciplinary, and role boundaries; and to shape the future of KCTCS.
