2000-2005 Strategic Plan: Building Unity

In January 1999, KCTCS began a strategic planning process that resulted in the identification of the KCTCS vision, values, goals, and priorities. The KCTCS Strategic Plan 2000-2005: Building Unity was adopted by the KCTCS Board of Regents in October 1999. Subsequently, the KCTCS President led the effort to establish one-year objectives, develop action plans, and identify accountability measures.

Because KCTCS was reaching numerous milestones well in advance of anticipated timeframes, the KCTCS Board of Regents revised the strategic plan in 2002 and took action to align the strategic planning process with the budget cycle, including the fiscal year and the biennial budget development. The priorities for the 2000-2005 strategic planning cycle have been reviewed and updated on a biennial schedule. Objectives along with action plans have been revised annually.
