LEARNING RESOURCES (LR) TAG Recommendations Accepted:
4.11.1.7 KCTCS Certificate-Expedited Preliminary
Approval (Policy Revision) -
The PLT recommendation from the LR TAG to add an additional statement
to the existing policy has been accepted for implementation. The policy,
which currently allows colleges to pilot a certificate on a one-time basis,
will now include the following statement: Upon recommendation of the Chancellor
and approval by the KCTCS President, under exceptional circumstances,
the pilot may be extended for an additional cycle.

Rules Section IV, 2.42 Practical Nursing
Program Admissions Requirements (KCTCS) - The PLT recommendation
from the LR TAG to implement these rule changes proposed by both faculty
senate councils has been accepted for implementation.

Incorporating the College Program Inventory
into PeopleSoft - The PLT recommendation from the LR TAG
for the System office staff to maintain this effort in order to streamline
administrative record-keeping and increase the accuracy of student records
has been accepted for implementation.
FINANCIAL RESOURCES (FR) TAG Recommendations Accepted:
Student Financial Aid Residual Checks
- The PLT recommendation from the FR TAG regarding distribution of student
financial aid residual checks has been accepted for implementation. Each
college is permitted to choose annually its preferred method of distributing
student residual checks to include the following:
· ADP mail checks directly to students, or
· ADP mail checks to college for distribution to the students.
Funding Model Final Recommendation
- The FR TAG Funding Model recommendation as accepted by the PLT has been
accepted for implementation in FY 2003-04.
Funding Model Application Procedure (MAP)
- The FR TAG recommended procedure to allocate funds through the funding
model as accepted by the PLT has also been accepted for implementation
for FY 2003-04.
INTERNAL RESOURCES (IR) TAG Recommendation Accepted:
1950 Hours - Resolution
The former UK employees impacted by the 1999 conversion from a 26 pay-period
annually to a 24 pay-period will be provided a recurring salary adjustment
rather than additional leave days as has been past practice.
