INTERNAL RESOURCES (IR) TAG Recommendations Accepted:

Workplace Violence Policy – The PLT recommendation to accept the IR TAG’s recommendation (April 2002) was accepted for implementation. The IR TAG recommended that the Crisis Management Workgroup develop a policy for use by all colleges and the policy is to summarize our position on workplace violence and identify responsibilities of employees, supervisors and a response team.

Faculty Return to Industry Program (formerly Staff Exchange) – The PLT recommendation to accept the IR TAG (April 2002) recommendation to continue this program and expand it to all colleges was accepted. As a result, the program has been renamed and revised in order to apply the program to all colleges.

Faculty and Staff Tuition Waivers (KCTCS Personnel Policy 2.10.1 - formerly Employee Initiated Development) - The PLT recommendation to accept the IR TAG (April 2002) recommendation to expand the policy of the technical colleges and to clarify one class per semester could be taken during work hours with time to be made up was accepted. The approval is to remain with the college’s CEO/CAO.
