About KCTCS: Board of Regents - Members

Michael D. Quillen lives in Brooksville, Kentucky and currently serves as Professor of Biology at Maysville Community and Technical College, teaching Biology and Energy Systems. At the college, he has served as lead teacher and coordinator of Environmental Science Technology and as Interim Program Coordinator of General Occupational and Technical Studies. Mr. Quillen also has served as a KCTCS Council Senator, as a Curriculum Review Committee Senator and Chair, and as a Biology Curriculum Committee Co-Chair. He recently completed a second term as Chair of the college's first consolidated Faculty Assembly and Faculty Council. Mr. Quillen has a Bachelor's of Science and a Master's of Science in Biology from Morehead State University. In August 2006, Mr. Quillen was elected to the KCTCS Board of Regents to serve as the General Education Faculty Regent. Mr. Quillen's term as faculty regent ends in October 2009.
