About KCTCS: Board of Regents - Members
Brenda R. Corey lives in Gray, Kentucky. Ms. Corey has over 20-years experience in various Knox County public school positions, including Assistant Superintendent for Support Services and Facilities, Director of Pupil Personnel, District Health Coordinator, and elementary school teacher. She provided leadership for the implementation of Family Resource and Youth Services Centers and coordinated the transfer of the Knox County Adult Education Program from Union College to the Knox County Board of Education. In addition to several professional certifications, Ms. Corey holds a Rank I certification with emphasis on elementary education and a master of arts in education with emphasis on elementary education from Union College. She is a member of the Kentucky Association of School Administrators, the Kentucky School Board Association, Phi Delta Kappa, and a charter member of the Knox County Kiwanis. Ms. Corey was appointed to the KCTCS Board of Regents in 2003 for a six-year term that ends in 2009.
