The KCTCS Seal

The KCTCS seal is a permanent symbol that serves as the system's identification.

The columns in the seal represent KCTCS's two branches; community colleges and technical schools. An arch connects the two branches. A gear represents the technical component, and a book represents the academic component.

The seal is to be used only on official and ceremonial KCTCS documents, such as diplomas.

A color from each of the branch logos is used, yellow (PMS 131) from the Technical College Branch and blue (PMS 541) from the Community College System.

To protect the integrity of the KCTCS seal, it is imperative that it be used appropriately whenever it is reproduced. Any variation, however slight, can give the identity a different look, diminishing its effectiveness and recognition.

The black and white seal should be used whenever photocopying will be done. The seal should never be presented smaller than three quarters of an inch.
