The gift of scholarship is endless. It affects a community for generations. Scholarships improve the lives of recipients, children, grandchildren and all who come into daily contact with recipients. Scholarships solidify character, build strength and perseverance and develop future leaders. Additionally, scholarships cultivate role models, foster honorable moral and worthwhile convictions, thus the quintessence of all that one aspires to be.

ACTC’s Student Government Association collected 384 pounds of canned and non-perishable food in it’s annual fall food drive for River Cities Harvest. Food items were contributed by students, faculty and staff at the three ACTC campuses.

HOPKINSVILLE, KY. (November 17, 2009) – Hopkinsville Community College will be offering a Computer Skills for Farming class for the agricultural community in December. This special educational opportunity is made available through a partnership between HCC and the Commodity Growers Cooperative along with a $9,000 grant from the Kentucky Governor’s Office of Agricultural Policy.

The River Cities Chorus will present its fall concert Tuesday, Dec, 1, at 7:00 p.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church in downtown Ashland. The chorus is composed of ACTC students and area residents.
