ANONYMOUS PLEDGE OF $112,500 WILL FUND A SCHOLARSHIP ENDOWMENT AND A CULTURAL EVENT FOR SKCTC'S MIDDLESBORO CAMPUS
As a part of the Fulfilling the Promise Campaign, an anonymous donor from Bell County has recently pledged $112,500 to provide funding for a scholarship endowment, and funding for a cultural event -- all to be used and enjoyed by those served by Southeast in Bell County.
The initial pledge payment of $22,500 arrived at the College during the holiday break. According to Dr. Bruce Ayers, "it was a nice surprise to return from the break and find this wonderful gift to the Middlesboro Campus. I knew that our Bell County Chairman, Bob Vaughn, and Dr. Judy Leonard, our Director of Advancement had been working with a potential donor for a gift, but the size of this pledge is just astounding, and so very generous."
Further, Dr. Ayers stated that, "we are delighted to receive this wonderful gift, and while we respect the donor's request for anonymity, we did want to let everyone know that our scholarship fund in Middlesboro - and possibly cultural programming - will be growing substantially because of this individual's generosity."
