The Harlan Rotary Club met in its regular meeting on Tuesday December 21st 2004. The presenter for the meeting was Dr. Judy Leonard from the resource development office of Southeast Kentucky Community & Technical College.

Dr. Leonard presented the Fulfilling the Promise Campaign for Southeast. At the end of her presentation Kelly Wilson Lee, club President, presented a Check for $33,500.



The funds will fund 3 full scholarships to SKCTC and give $8,500 to the construction of an outdoor stage on the Harlan Campus.

Joel Eldridge, Director of the Harlan Campus of SKCTC and a Rotary Club member, stated "This is absolutely the best group of people I have ever worked with. They truly care about the needs of the community and put those above any need they have. I am truly honored and awed by their dedication and hard work and I am proud to be a member of the Harlan Rotary Club."
