Kelly Weller is an example of what MCC does best--help individuals lead productive lives while also helping their communities. A Southern California native, Kelly
moved to Muhlenberg County in 1988, where she began her healthcare career as an LPN. She subsequently enrolled in MCC's nursing program, graduating with
honors in 1998. She joined Madisonville's Regional Medical Center as an emergency room nurse and in August 2000 entered an accelerated weekend option RN to
BSN program at the University of Louisville. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in August 2001, receiving all A's in her coursework.
Since July 2002, Kelly has worked for RMC and also with MCC's Nursing Program as coordinator of an innovative "LPN to RN" bridge program in which Kelly
serves as a supervisor of weekend clinical rotations for current nursing students. As a culmination of sorts to her wonderful success after graduation, Kelly was
recently accepted into Murray State University's Master of Nursing Program, specializing in anesthesia.

KELLY WELLER, MCC Nursing Graduate
"I absolutely love nursing--the opportunities and options are endless. I started as a nurse's aide in high school twenty
years ago and have been able to build on the foundation into an advanced professional practice. It's been an incredible
journey that MCC made possible."
