Your investment in the Kentucky Community and Technical College System will make
a significant impact on the lives of our students and the businesses
and communities we serve.
Private sector investments provide a
critical margin of support that enables
KCTCS to pursue excellence in classroom
instruction, training for business and
industry, continuing education, cultural
enrichment, community service, and
economic development.
We consider it an honor to recognize our
benefactors who have invested significantly
in our mission and vision. Your name, or
the name of someone you wish to honor,
will be recognized in a special way for
your support of the Fulfilling the Promise
Campaign for KCTCS as outlined in this
brochure. Additional naming opportunities
may be developed at your request.
Named giving opportunities are offered
for current gifts, cash pledges over a
five-year period, and irrevocable planned
gifts such as charitable trusts.
KCTCS also offers a number of named
endowed academic positions for college
faculty and endowed scholarships.
NAMED GIVING
OPPORTUNITIES
Endowments
The KCTCS Foundation Endowment is an
aggregation of gifts provided by donors
with the requirement they be held and
invested in perpetuity to generate earnings
now and in future years to support the
donor's intended purpose. Annual income
generated by endowment can be used to
support faculty and students, programs,
and/or operational needs of KCTCS.
Named Academic Positions
Endowed Chair -
Minimum gift of $500,000
Endowed Professorship -
Minimum gift of $100,000
An endowed chair is a distinction awarded
by the KCTCS Board of Regents to a faculty
member in recognition of significant
contributions to the individual's academic
discipline. An endowed chair may also be
held by the current chair or director of an
academic division. In addition to the
academic honor given to the individual, an
endowed chair or professorship provides
funding for support of his or her teaching,
research, and service responsibilities, and
is supported by annual income from a
permanently invested endowment fund.
Income may also be used to support the
base salary of the endowed chair or
professorship, unless expressly prohibited
by the donor or gift agreement.
Endowed Lectureship -
Minimum gift between $10,000 - $100,000
An endowed lectureship is a temporary
appointment and may be given to a
visiting scholar in temporary residence
or may be used to support a lecture series
on the topic for which the lectureship
was created.

Will support students at one or
more designated KCTCS colleges.
