Leadership Awareness Chair receives Award
In a special award to be given this year, Dick Wilson, senior vice president of UBS Financial Services and vice chairman of the Jefferson Community and Technical College Educational Foundation, will be given the Ronald J. Horvath Distinguished Service Award. The award, named in honor of Jefferson's longest serving president, is given only periodically to exceptional individuals who demonstrate a commitment to the college and the community. Wilson, an alumnus of Jefferson and the University of Louisville, has dedicated himself to service to the college and university, as well as to the community, serving in leadership roles for Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Louisville Dream Factory and the National Dream Factory. He leads the Leadership Awareness Division of the college's Fulfilling the Promise Campaign and is a member of the Board of Overseers at the University of Louisville, the alumni representative to the Kentucky Council for Postsecondary Education, and chairman of the U of L College of Business and Public Administration mentor program.
