Big Sandy Community and Technical College is a state assisted institution, not one supported totally by state appropriations. In
fact, only 43 percent of BSCTC's consolidated budget is derived from state funds. While state dollars provide funding for basic
mandated programs and services, the types of enhancements and quality initiatives that make our College truly exceptional come
from dependable, recurring private resources.

"For those people who contribute it will certainly pay off, it's a good investment in your local
community. It will pay dividends in terms of helping us to expand our capabilities, helping us
to better educate our local population and to help us develop economically."
