Ashland, KY --The Ashland Community & Technical College Fulfilling the Promise Campaign has passed the $4 million mark in support.

The Woodlands Foundation has pledged $10,000 to the Community & Technical College Foundation of Ashland, Inc. to assist in funding a Virtual Design of the former C. H. Parson's Building. "This gift brings our Campaign to over $4,032,000," said Frank Salisbury, ACTC Director of Advancement and Campaign Manager.

"We are so pleased to obtain the support of the Woodlands Foundation," said Robert J. Maher, President of ACTC's Foundation. "It is obvious with giving from the Community exceeding $4 million that the College's endeavors are certainly supported by the community and the achievements of ACTC are recognized."

"We set a goal of $3.2 million for this campaign a couple of years ago," said Dr. Gregory D. Adkins, ACTC President and CEO. "Surpassing $4 million in gifts tells me our community thinks we are headed in the right direction and appreciates what we are doing. The Virtual Design of the former Parson's building will assist us and the City of Ashland in helping others visualize what this building can be to this community."

"We have two initiatives that we are focusing on as we move toward the home stretch of our Campaign," said Adkins. "The renovation of the former Parson's Building is critical to the economic revitalization of downtown Ashland and the Child Development Center is tremendously important to our students who have children."

Three area physicians--Dr. E. B. Gevedon III, Dr. Michael Goodwin and Dr. Richard Paulus--have endorsed the Child Development Center Initiative with their colleagues in the medical community.
