Ashland Named Giving Opportunities
Your investment in the Ashland Community and Technical College System will make a significant impact on the lives of our students and the businesses and communities we serve.

Private sector investments provide a critical margin of support that enables ACTC to pursue excellence in classroom instruction, training for business and industry, continuing education, cultural enrichment, community service, and economic development. We consider it an honor to recognize our benefactors who have invested significantly in our mission and vision. Your name, or the name of someone you wish to honor, will be recognized in a special way for your support of the Fulfilling the Promise Campaign for ACTC as outlined in this brochure. Additional naming opportunities may be developed at your request. Named giving opportunities are offered for current gifts, cash pledges over a five-year period, and irrevocable planned gifts such as charitable trusts.

ACTC also offers a number of named endowed academic positions for college faculty and endowed scholarships.

NAMED GIVING OPPORTUNITIES

Child Development Center - $600,000

As the College enrollment of non-traditional students with children increases so does the need for quality child care. An off-site facility will be designed specifically for child care and designed to facilitate the students enrolled in the Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education Program to receive real-world training. Property located adjacent to the College Drive campus has been acquired for this initiative.

Endowments

The Community and Technical College Foundation of Ashland, Inc. has an aggregation of endowments and gifts provided by donors with the requirement they be held and invested in perpetuity to generate earnings now and in future years to support the donor's intended purpose. Annual income generated by endowment can be used to support faculty, staff, students, programs, and/or operational needs of ACTC.
Faculty - $500,000/per endowment
This endowment proposes not only to recognize faculty whose performance is exemplary, but also to reward faculty who document the learning gains of students enrolled in their classes. The faculty of ACTC is dedicated to the educational success of their students. An endowed chair fund can provide a systematic reward system for recognizing excellence in education.

Science and Technology - $1,200,000
The future of our community's success rests on a population educated in science and technology. While our region's math and science test scores for K-12 students are improving, they are not at an acceptable level. By establishing a permanent endowment to fund workshops, supplies and incentives for teachers, a regional Science and Technology Fair for the FIVCO area can be developed and managed. These Fairs have proven to be catalysts in developing the desire of young people to learn more about science, math, technology and related disciplines.

Workplace Literacy - $1,000,000
The most important asset of a community or region is its workforce. A workplace literacy endowment will provide funding for increased accessibility of both employer and employee to effective and efficient training. Employer needs of the 21st Century require that business and industry standards model a high level of literacy, technical expertise and knowledge. The FIVCO area has a high rate of small businesses, those with 100 or less employees. This endowment will provide fifty percent partnerships for training and target residents with learning disabilities for training needed to become gainfully employed.

Named Scholarships ($25,000 Minimum)
ACTC will name endowed scholarships to support students attending ACTC. Donors may designate the name, purpose, and criteria for the awarding of scholarships from the income generated by the endowment.
