The Yeager family has long been recognized for its commitment to higher education and lifelong learning, and this year we mourn the loss of Dr. Lillian Yeager. Dr. Yeager originally established the T. Stephen Yeager Scholarship Fund in memory of her husband, a respected and dedicated Jefferson Community College faculty member from 1975-1993. Dr. Yeager left an estate gift which will be endowed to perpetually fund this scholarship which benefits African-American students. Dr. Yeager was a dedicated community leader and a great champion of higher education, and she will be greatly missed. This scholarship will continue to provide the hope for deserving students to pursue their educational goals and will serve as a lasting memory of the commitment to education that T. Stephen Yeager and Dr. Lillian Yeager shared.

National City Bank takes great pride in supporting the areas it serves and is a recognized leader for its commitment to building stronger communities and revitalizing neighborhoods. This past year National City created the National City Endowed Textbook Scholarship Fund benefiting Jefferson Community and Technical College students. By establishing this innovative fund, the Bank is helping meet one of the greatest financial barriers students face—the rising cost of textbooks. This generous act will impact the lives of numerous Jefferson students now and for years to come. Because of National City’s commitment to improve the quality of life in the communities it serves, these students and countless future students will be able to achieve their educational potential.
