Under the leadership of CEO Gary Braswell, MPD, Inc. is one of the leading employee-owned industries in Kentucky. MPD is a four-time recipient of the annual Award for Communication Excellence from the national Employee Stock Ownership Plans Association. Over the years, MPD has had a strong partnership with Owensboro Community and Technical College by hiring graduates, participating on advisory boards and supporting the on-campus child care facility. In collaboration, the College's president serves on MPD's Board of Directors. Gary Braswell is an active leader in the community, especially in economic development, as he presently serves on the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce's Economic Development Board.

Unilever Foods, Inc. is a multinational consumer products industry that has provided products to 150 countries and 150 million people around the world for more than three centuries. The partnership between Unilever and Owensboro Community and Technical College is exemplary of industry and education working together to improve the quality of life for citizens. Unilever hires many of the College's graduates; and the College's Center for Community and Economic Development has provided significant training for Unilever's workforce. Paul Altimier, Owensboro plant manager, is a current member of the College's Board of Directors. Over the years, Unilever and its leadership team have been among the College's strongest advocates.

Bill and Sandy Chandler have supported education in Kentucky for more than 40 years. A former teacher and superintendent of Owensboro Public Schools, former chair of the Owensboro Community and Technical College Board of Directors and current chair of the College's Foundation, Dr. Chandler is recognized as a founding father of Owensboro Community and Technical College. He and his wife, Sandy, have devoted their lives to improving the quality of life for others through their support of the College and scholarships for needy and deserving students.

Michael and Cindy Fiorella have been part of the Owensboro Community and Technical College family since its inception. Mr. Fiorella helped establish the College's Foundation and is regarded as one of the founding leaders of the College. He has served on the Foundation Board for 18 years, including multiple terms as chair. He also serves on several other community boards including the Owensboro Citizen's Committee on Education and Girls, Incorporated. Mrs. Fiorella has served as past foundation executive director, past member of the KCTCS Board of Regents and currently as the dean of the Center for Community and Economic Development. She is a key leader in workforce development for the Owensboro region and has won numerous awards on the national and state levels.
