Glema Mahr has created an extraordinary legacy of generosity as a fine arts advocate at Madisonville Community College. In 2000, the College recognized Mrs. Mahr's philanthropic efforts by naming its fine arts center, The Glema Mahr Center for the Arts. Since 1994, she has sponsored the unique Glema Mahr Chamber Music Series and annually contributes more than 200 volunteer hours as a docent at the arts center. Mrs. Mahr recently made a new commitment to the College with a lead gift to the Fulfilling the Promise Campaign, which is designated to support the chamber series and the School Counts workforce/scholarship program. The College is deeply grateful for Mrs. Mahr's continued commitment.

In 2004, Autoliv North America announced a ten-year pledge to Madisonville Community College's Fulfilling the Promise Campaign, which will be used to support the Campaign's number one priority, the quality endowment. In recognition of this gift, the College has named the workforce development area, the Autoliv Corporate Center. Autoliv, which located its safety belt/air bag assembly plant to Hopkins County in 2000, works closely with College's Community and Economic Development Department. Plant Manager Jim Hart and other employees continue to serve important roles in support of academics, and Autoliv employs many of the College's graduates.

Much of Madisonville Community College's fund-raising success in Muhlenberg County has been due to the voluntary efforts of First Kentucky Bank and its board of directors. From 1996 through 2000, the Bank and its board members completed pledges to the Partners in Progress Campaign totaling more than $335,000. At that time, Bank President Dennis Kirtley served as cochair of the five-year fund-raising campaign, which resulted in construction of a new campus dedicated in 2001. Bank employees and board members continue to support the College's endeavors. The current president, Mike Mercer, is a member of the Muhlenberg Campus Advisory Committee.
