Larry Addington is no stranger to education. After attending Morehead State University, he graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in engineering. He established an engineering company and a few years later entered the energy business of mining and selling coal from eastern Kentucky. Mr. Addington has personally supported numerous education initiatives in the FIVCO Region. His donation of 2,000 acres to establish the EastPark Regional Business Park allowed the subsequent gift of the site for the College's Technology Drive Campus. He has also given generously to the College's Foundation.

The Booth Foundation, Inc., Stuart, FL
Honored by the Community and Technical College Foundation of Ashland, Inc.

The Booth Foundation was established by Alex E. Booth, Jr. to provide funding and opportunities for students pursuing careers in the health care profession. Through the Foundation, Mr. Booth has assisted numerous students and colleges in Florida, West Virginia and Kentucky. In the summer of 2005, Mr. Booth funded an expansion of the licensed practical nursing (LPN) program at the College. As a result of Mr. Booth's generosity, the LPN program will offer classes in the evening beginning January 2006 in addition to the day schedule. The Booth Foundation has also established a scholarship fund at a local church to facilitate funding for needy students enrolled in health science programs at the College.
