Recently, Gateway Community and Technical College dedicated the Positive Business Solutions, Inc. (PBSI) Learning Center during a ribbon cutting celebration at its Edgewood Campus. The software, hardware, and technical support donation from PBSI is valued at more than $100,000. This commitment is providing leading edge technology and is expanding educational opportunities for students in one of the fastest growing occupations in the healthcare industry - medical coding. Cincinnati-based PBSI manufactures leading-edge medical office software. Through its medical information technology program, Gateway prepares students to enter the medical office management field.

Gateway Community and Technical College recently formed a new partnership valued at $1.25 million with St. Elizabeth Medical Center to support the College's newly approved nursing program. This support is a perfect example of a public/private partnership working together to address a critical need in the region. It demonstrates commitment to meeting the nursing shortage in the region and is further evidence of the need for an expansion of Gateway's Edgewood Campus.
