  Kyong and Fred Anderson recently pledged $100,000 to establish the Anderson Scholarship Endowment at Hopkinsville Community College. This commitment represents the first lead gift of the Fulfilling the Promise Campaign. The Andersons own and operate KCA Corporation, Inc. in Hopkinsville where Kyong serves as President and CEO. Kyong earned her Associate in Applied Science Degree in Business Technology from HCC in 1992 and has served as a member of the Hopkinsville Community College Foundation, Inc. since July 2001. She is active on a number of Foundation committees including the Textbook Scholarship Committee, which distributes funds to deserving students with financial need. Fred is a major supporter of the Foundation�s annual golf scramble.

  Hill Ferguson, III, retired President of Planters Bank, has been a longtime friend of Hopkinsville Community College and the Hopkinsville Community College Foundation, Inc. Hill has an extensive history of personal philanthropy toward HCC and its Foundation, and his gifts are maximized via his former employer�s matching gifts program. Additionally, Hill has obtained significant private contributions to HCC through his influence in leadership roles during two HCC major gifts campaigns, �Partners in Progress� (1993-1997) and most recently the Fulfilling the Promise Campaign. Hill served as the president of the HCC Foundation, Inc. from 1993 to 1995 and has remained active on numerous committees. Most recently, Hill and Susan Ferguson hosted a Leadership Awareness event in their home where members of the community learned about HCC and the upcoming fund-raising campaign.

  Flynn Enterprises, Inc., a clothing manufacturing plant established in 1976 and owned by Bill and Katherine Flynn of Hopkinsville, serves as one of the region�s largest industrial employers. The company�s cumulative philanthropy toward Hopkinsville Community College exceeds $125,000. In 1989, the company supported the College�s auditorium building capital campaign and recently completed their $100,000 pledge to HCC�s Technology Center Equipment Endowment. Spending distributions from the endowment ensure that state-of-the-art equipment is maintained in the facility. In addition, the company annually supports the Foundation�s golf scramble, which raises funds to support student textbook scholarships. During the 1990s, Katherine Flynn served on the Hopkinsville Community College Foundation, Inc.
