Bill Chandler has contributed more hours of service and support to Owensboro Community College than any single individual.  He was one of the strongest advocates for its creation and has remained its most steadfast supporter serving as a board member throughout its 15-year history, most recently as chair.   Dr. Chandler is a friend and advocate for the College�s faculty and staff and cares deeply about students.  He has been a mentor, a donor, a cheerleader, a publicist, an advocate, but mostly the dearest friend that the Owensboro College District could ever have.

Sim Davenport, Owensboro

Sim Davenport has been both a donor and a long time friend of both Owensboro Community and Owensboro Technical Colleges.  He has served on the board of the Community College Foundation of Owensboro, Inc.  He presently serves as chair of the Advisory Board for Owensboro Technical College.  He has been an advocate for the community & technical colleges in Owensboro for years and has contributed in many ways to the success of the two colleges.

Dar-Nek Club, Owensboro

Gary Braswell is currently the CEO of MPD Corporation.  This organization was formed by a group of former KEN-RAD employees who built a recreational center known as the Dar-Nek Club.  When the property was sold the organization voted to contribute the proceeds to the Owensboro Community College childcare center project.  The Dar-Nek Family Development Center provides childcare to students of both Owensboro Community College and Owensboro Technical College.  Mr. Braswell and his company continue to contribute to the College and the childcare center.  Most recently Mr. Braswell provided the etched glass front window, which bears the name Dar-Nek Family Development Center.
