To accept the award is Mr. Harris, President and CEO, Logan Aluminum Co, Russellville, KY

Mike Harris is the President and CEO of one of the largest and most modern production facilities in the Commonwealth.  He oversees the operation of Logan Aluminum, Inc. in Russellville, Kentucky, a $1 billion plant with more than 1,000 employees who produce almost 40% of all of the aluminum can stock in America!  Yet he still finds time to serve as the Chairman of the Board of Bowling Green Technical College.  Mr. Harris lends his expertise founded on training in Business Administration at Western Kentucky University and Murray State University and a dynamic career at Brown Printing, Anaconda American Brass, and Logan Aluminum.  Mike has trusted us to train hundreds of his team associates, has offered financial backing, and has taken a hands-on approach to helping the College in its planning and budgeting.  He has been a leader in merging the Colleges into an effective dynamic operation with a strategic vision.

Bowling Green Technical College is deeply grateful for the donation of equipment and funds to support the College�s Welding Technology program.   Stupp Bridge Company was founded in 1856 as s small iron works company and is now a world leader in steel bridge fabrication.  In 1998, an SBC site selection team determined that Bowling Green, KY would be the best location for a new facility.  Ken Kubacki, President of SBC and Reuben Netherland were responsible for the design of the new plant.  A groundbreaking ceremony was held in October of 1998 with production of steel bridge plate girders starting in August of 1999.  Stupp Bridge is proud to have designed the most efficient bridge fabrication facility in existence.  The Bowling Green facility combines the 144 years of Stupp tradition for quality and customer satisfaction with the latest in technological advancements.  The facility has allowed Stupp Bridge to become the most customer-responsive steel bridge fabricator in the country.
