Dr. C. Gordon and Dixie Gussler, Naples, FL
Being Honored by Ashland Community College

Accepting the award on behalf of the Gusslers is Mr. Gus (Hoos) Lobach

Diane Gussler Lobach was an excellent student, an advocate of higher education, a community supporter, a loving wife and mother.  Unfortunately, Diane Gussler Lobach, an ophthalmologist, lost her fight with cancer in March 1997.  After her death, Dianes parents, Dr. C. Gordon and Dixie Gussler, searched for a befitting memorial for their daughter.  They recently established the Diane Gussler Lobach Greatest Needs Endowment Fund at Ashland Community College to support student financial needs, teaching/learning excellence, faculty/staff professional development, and community development.  This fund gives the College, now and in the future, the resources to effectively address many of its most pressing needs.
