Russell County businesswoman, Charlene Harris, is one of Somerset Community College's most steadfast supporters. She is chair of the College's Board of Directors and, most recently, was SCC's liaison in the establishment of a Center in Russell Springs. Charlene also served on the SCC Presidential Search Committee in 2000 and the SACS reaffirmation and substantive change committees. As president of First National Bank of Russell Springs, she has been instrumental in the Bank's financial support to the College and in influencing the support of other businesses and individuals. Always an advocate for SCC, words most associated with her are, "Let me know what I can do to help."

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital's support and advocacy for Somerset Community College spans a period of more than 14 years. It includes support of six allied health programs and numerous student scholarships. The most recent financial commitment of over $330,000 has made the dream of a radiography program a reality for students and brings the Hospital's total financial commitment to the College to over one-half million dollars. In addition, Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital regularly provides equipment and clinical experiences for the College's allied health programs. Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, dedicated to providing high quality and technologically advanced healthcare, is a valued partner of Somerset Community College.
