Mike Foster currently serves as the president of the Hopkinsville Community College Foundation, Inc. Mike earned an associate of arts degree as a part of the first graduating class of HCC in 1967.  Mike serves as the Christian County Attorney and practices in the law firm of Trimble, Foster, & Soyars. Over the years, Mike has been instrumental in assisting HCC obtain private sector financial assistance through various efforts that include the College's Auditorium Building Campaign and the Partners In Progress Campaign. Mike truly represents a "friend" of HCC who supports the College's comprehensive mission from fine arts and humanities activities to vocational/technical training.

Jennie Stuart Medical Center has a long tradition of financial support of Hopkinsville Community College. JSMC provided the original seed funds to establish a nursing program at HCC, and JSMC allowed $10,000 of those remaining funds to be used to create the Nursing Program Endowment Fund.   In 1999, JSMC provided $16,900 to assist HCC's Nursing Program seek national accreditation with NLNAC (National League of Nursing Accreditation Commission). As a result, HCC anticipates NLNAC to recommend accreditation in December 2000.

Edwin R. Davis, M.D., Hopkinsville

Dr. Davis currently practices with Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz and was an original partner with Pennyrile Radiology, PSC. Since 1996, Dr. Davis has annually provided funds to the Hopkinsville Community College Foundation, Inc. to be used to advance information technology at HCC. Through Dr. Davis' gifts, Hopkinsville Community College has been able to purchase additional equipment and supplies that increase the College's ability to provide educational excellence.  In 2000, Dr. Davis became a member of the Foundation.

Recently, the Hopkinsville Community College Foundation, Inc. responded to Princeton/Caldwell County's desire for HCC to improve its computer-related offerings at the College's extended campus in Princeton.  John Carner and Farmers Bank and Trust provided financial assistance for the Foundation's first-ever fund-raising effort in the community that ultimately raised nearly $28,000 for a 20-workstation computer lab.  John Carner not only assisted in making the case for private support of HCC and the Foundation throughout the community, but also agreed at the conclusion of the campaign to serve as a member of the Foundation where he continues to tirelessly promote the value of postsecondary education in Princeton/Caldwell County.
