The System Bar

System Bar  

Another defining element of the KCTCS branding standards is the System Bar, which should be incorporated into most print/collateral materials. The bar contains the full system name, which makes it possible for colleges, campuses and programs to use their logo within the Arch, rather than the KCTCS Logo.

The following apply to using the System Bar:

  • It should be incorporated into all signage, billboards, print advertisements, and printed business materials.
  • Any color from the palette may be used for the System Bar, with the type reversed to white.
  • Always features the full KCTCS name, and be set in uppercase Trajan Pro.
  • Extends the width of the application, and be applied to the bottom of the piece.
  • The system name should always use an ampersand (&) instead of the word “and.”

In instances where the system name would be too small to be legible, such as online banner ads, or small vertical ads, the system name may be split into two lines.

Inappropriate Usage

Examples of inappropriate usage of the System Bar include altering its proportions or using a font other than Trajan Pro.
