To help reduce the gaps which exist between the skills of workers entering the manufacturing sector and the needs of Kentucky manufacturing businesses, the Kentucky Manufacturing Skills Standards (KMSS) provide certification for manufacturing workers. Because the KMSS is based on a set of standards and assessments developed by industry, government and education partnerships, workers can be assured that their certification of mastery of manufacturing skills will be recognized by Kentucky employers and help them find careers in which they can be successful.
